|Zion Lutheran Church
Serving the Community, Providing Hope in Christ
|Today, the life here at Zion still revolves around God
gathering us together on Sunday mornings for worship.
Worship happens weekly at 10:45 AM, with additional
services during the week on Holidays and during Advent
and Lent. We also gather together to study God’s Word,
on Sunday mornings at 9:30 for Sunday School and Adult
Bible Class, and also at various times during the week.
|Although our Preschool has had to close, we
still do have a love of children - this is part of
our heritage that we will always cherish - and if
the Lord provides the opportunity, perhaps it
will be our honor to teach children during the
week once again in the future.
|We also have several groups in the congregation which gather to serve, learn of God’s Will, and
to grow in the faith. One of these is our youth group, where our students enjoy the blessings
that God has given them. Another is our Ladies Aid, where the adult women of the Church focus
on projects to aid and help our neighbors. Our Mens’ Club prepares our annual Groundhog
Supper in February, which is a community favorite. We also have a friendship circle, which
sponsors various activities in the Congregation. In the summers, we host a Vacation Bible
School, and during the School year we host The ROCK, an after-school program designed to
provide the children of Lahoma a safe place to play and get help for homework once a week every
Wednesday after school.
